The Book Blogger Test Tag

One day I came across with this tag on Rachel's blog A Perfection Called Books and thought it could be a fun one and basically I decided to do it

So if you want to know my answers, well then, keep reading!

1. What are you top three book pet hates?

-          Books in bad conditions. This may be the worst of all my book pet hates. I cringe at the sight of them. Whenever I go to a bookstore and I see a book bent or torn because it was bad positioned in the bookshelves I feel the urge to kill somebody.

-          Instalove. Like, seriously? Don’t authors know we know this does not happen in real life? C’mon, give us some credit! I can’t stand the whole ‘I look you for the first time and oh! God I’m in love’ plot.

-          A story that keeps dragging on. Have you ever had the feeling you are reading the same all the frigging time? That the story is going nowhere and you just want to stab yourself to end your pain? No? Well, lucky you! Whenever this happen I just have the feeling that I wasted my time reading.

2. Describe your perfect reading spot:

My perfect reading spot has to be very comfy and where I can lay back. So, any daybed would be perfect. The other day I found the perfect one on Google. Let me show you...

3. Tell us three book confessions:

-         One of the most horrible things to do is watch a movie before reading the book that inspired it, but I’ve done it. Sorry.

-         I hate e-books with a passion! I know they are super handy but there are not for me. I need a physical copy. I need to be able to turn the pages. Touching a screen doesn’t feel the same.

-         A few times I have turned down plans to go out just because I wanted to read. What?!?! Don’t look at me like that! I’m not the one to blame when a book is super interesting and addictive.

4. When was the last time you cried during a book?

Not so long ago actually. I’m a crier and I tend to get emotional very easily over books either because it is a sad one or a happy one. It was in July when I read August by R. J. Palacio. If you haven’t read that book, I don’t know what you are waiting for

5. How many books are on your bedside table?

I don’t have a bedside table LOL. But I do have a little bookshelf near my bed with 10 books, most of them already read.

6. What is your favourite snack to eat while you are reading?

Anything that is not greasy just so the book won’t get damaged. But I prefer to drink (non alcoholic ones I mean) rather than eat while reading.

7. Name 3 books you would recommend to anyone.

-         Wonder by R. J. Palacio (can you tell I love this book??)

-         Game of Thrones by George Martin

-         Harry Potter by J. K. Rowling

8. Show us a picture of your favourite shelf on you bookcase

I was not going to do this question just because my shelves right now are a complete mess. Not even kidding. They need a proper reorganization ASAP. However I decided to take a picture of one of my favourites 'To Be Read' shelves (minus The Shatter Me Trilogy) and here it is (sorry for the bad quality though :/):

9. Write how much books mean to you in three words?

(My) One true love! I can’t live without them even if I tried. I’m just like an old lady surrounded by cats, but instead of cats imagine books.

10. What is your biggest reading secret?

I always listen to music while reading. It helps me block the outside world and I can immerse fully into the story. I don’t listen to whatever though, just instrumental, indie or gothic rock.

And there you go! My answers to the questions! I don't know who to tag because this been out for a while so if you want to do it, you are welcome to! And if you do it link me the post below, I would love to read it =)

Reading Diary | February Books | 2018

Feb, 1st - 15:15. Finished the second book in the first volume of the Riyria Revelations and I was pleasantly surprised. I still think the world building is the weakest thing about the story because it's not greatly developed but the story is well-written and entertaining. I'm planning on continuing reading the series because now I'm intrigued enough to want to know how everything will unfold. Feb, 7th - 10:33.  I'm finally prepared to go and see the movie Call Me By Your Name because I just finished reading the novel. I enjoyed it quite a bit. It is a celebration of love and an exploration of sex and identity. It's quite explicit though so if you feel uncomfortable with that keep it in mind if you're planning on reading it. My full review of the book is HERE (I also talk a little bit about the movie).
